CLOSED. I am glad when I see the inscription Irish pub when I walk in cities in Europe, because one day in Cyprus I drank my first real Guinness in similar pub. :) Later still drank Belhaven and cider. I was very happy when an Irish pub “Harat’s pub” opened in Nizhny Novgorod. Someone in the beer forum wrote that there are only 6 sorts and all of them are not delicious. Despite this, I tried to get there but did not make any special effort. I think it was fortunately. When wife persuaded me to go to this pub we found not only to Guinness but other beers to our surprise. Probably it not was in the beginning, that I would have been disappointed if came before. Now I’m making plans for a couple of pints once a month.

The other day the wife “dragged” me into a small mono cafe which is located 20 meters from the Great Intercession (Bolshaya Pokrovskaya street), that in the center of Nizhny Novgorod. I remember, earlier the cafe “Fly” was located here, we were visiting it when were students. As my wife says now it is a fashion trend, Cafe “Freakadely” specializing in meatballs.

I remember ever since, that there is very little room and sometimes we sat on the fence next, but yielded to persuasion and we “only looked”. In the end, not at all disappointed, mostly because here there are cider “St Anton”, for some time now I have great respect for it.

White wolf in Nizhny Novgorod! The restaurant is in a contradictory location.

That just did not see in this building. It seems not the best place for commercial projects. Well restaurant “White wolf” in our opinion, deserves to stay for a long time. We are definitely going to drop in and check, that this decent place is not spoiled.

There are exotic dishes – venison, wild boar and other from North. Customer-oriented restaurant service. Would have been some northern alcoholic drink or a tasty dark (as winter) beer, I would change “Druzhkova kruzhka” with a white wolf.

And my wife held their birthday here and have not regretted.

An important issue for visitors to our great city is the satisfaction of basic needs, namely, where to go to eat in Nizhny Novgorod. How cool I wrote :). In particular, in the center and preferably with an optimal price / quality ratio. I think that the residents of the city are set to self periodically this question .

One of these place, in our opinion, cafe “Samarkand» , located only 200 meters from the pedestrian street Bolshaya Pokrovskaya (Large Intercession) which is Attraction Nizhny Novgorod). Somewhere in city there is the institution of the same name. Be careful not to confuse ;) .

Find it quite simple – you need to walk along the tram tracks on the street October. Well, the view from the outside, of course, is not impressive, but we did go for the food and cheap beer, so just forgive and come in.

In category which contains information where to eat in Nizhny Novgorod, I can not mention about Cafe DejaVu, which is located practically on Gorky square, that is in the city centre and close to the main tourist routes.

Why I “must” :) to write about it a worthy place!? So, firstly, we visit it on average once per month or two. Secondly, twice we celebrated the new year here. Third, in spite of everything, in it the food is not very expensive and quite delicious prolonged period of several years. Although the first couple of short years there was tastier, but maybe it just seems to us.

Rather, probably, that tasty food is the root cause for the “firstly” and “secondly”. About the slogan on the banner (see photo above) that I would still adjusted so: the best of available :)
